6/19/03: Well Ethan you complained so here i am tallying up the website hits and seems like you and maby nater the only ones who check in here. But anyway u guys are the coolest anyway and when the friendster fad wears thin y'all will still get hits from me. 6/6/03: Hey I'm HOME. In MO and its fun to be under my parents roof. My mom won't let me put up any of my favorite paintings, at least not the one with the girls in green jumpsuits or the new one of the penis sticking out of the apple. Its nice to see my brothers again, and i have all sorts of projects planned for us. Anyway drop me a line. Soon I plan on getting a real web page domain so thats another project i hopefully will start. Ok I love you bueyebue.

5/24/03: New stuff, 3 new songs in the sonic section, couple new text files in the text section. 2 New 3D picts stonehenge and Easter Island so if you can get some glasses go crazy but if your in my section dont look at them because it will spoil the crit.

5/20/03: My parents are coming in bout a week wich is gonna be crazy. My little brother will see the ocean for the first time. Then im going back to missouri which will be exciting/crazy/cool. Then I go to Italy which Iv'e just started to let sink in how different/enormous/crazy/cool will be. I'm moving up, to the east side. Gonna finally get a piece of the pie. I don't know why I'm writing this. Friendster has totally taken the place that my website had in my heart. No-one reads it any more and I have to reload the counter page just to keep up the illusion of people coming to my site.

4/20/03: So I read about this new process called thermal depolymerization, that basically can turn any waste product (except for nuclear waste) into very usefull products such as oil, carbon powder, water, and minerals. The end products are determined by what is being recycled but are all usefull and the whole process is pretty ridiculously eco-friendly. read about it at Discover Magazine's article Anyway this is the most exciting thing in the world I think, and iv'e been wondering why in the hell hasn't it happened before now because its not especially high tech, apparently the Germans used a similar process to make oil in WWII, but i think its probably because the big energy companies are like "oh thats an impossible pipe dream" and put money down to prevent its research. Well I hope this shit is implemented before the world ends because it could really save our asses. --JP

4/7/3: Sofar I think the russians have the best information on what is happening in Iraq, check out www.iraqwar.ru. Apparently the iraqi military has lost only 5-8% of its military personell and equipment, contrary to what weve been hearing here. 2/12/03: New MainPage layout, just because Iv'e been drawing these kinda things in photoshop lately. er.. The floating Layers doesn't work like I want, but at least the log's text loads from the top, unlike tables. The Links below are for my final Sonic Arts projects, I haven't mastered the sound yet because It was recorded in the room during the viewing and the files below are two parts of it, one for the PA system, and one for all the classmates computers. 2/09/03: Ok so the estimated time for my sonic arts performance is 1:00 on teusday the 11th, in the FA/FS computer lab on the second floor of the market house. Oh yea and visit Sweet Pea, she lives in the south. Drum aiffs.

2/1/03: Iv'e gotten a couple emails from people about the Whitehouse opinion phone line. You call and an operator ask you to say either I oppose or I approve. The number is 1-202-456-1111, but i think it is only a temporary thing.

1/30/03: So now the photo section should be up and running, I scanned all my film and there is so much dirt on the negatives that the computer files look like their from 1800. Maby today I'll fix some of the broken links on the links page.

1/28/03: Trying to use the html editor from tripod to change this, got photos to upload.

1/27/03: Fixed the link to the old skeleton of a web site. I think every time I edit this page and load it to the tripod server it puts a new banner ad in front of the pre-existing ones, so i might try to fix it or i might leave it alone. -- nah i fixed it.

5/5/3: im going to fail Italian, at least thats pretty much what my teacher told me in the email she sent to me. You should see 'The brother from another planet' its good. School is over in three weeks which is a good thing a good thing a good thing.

4/26/3: Jellyfish are my favorite organisms right now. We caught abunch yesterday and brout them back, we caught four kinds, my favorite one I found out on the internet is commonly known as the sea gooseberry, Here are some phots of it . Oh and at the bay we met a lady who studies jellyfish witch makes the whole thing even more mysterious.

3/31/3: Spring break kinda sucked, nothing really wrong with it was just a void period of time. I accidently read the 6th book in the dune series before I read the fourth and fifth ones, i wondered why there was so much stuff that i didn't understand and wasn't explained to me. ok i don't know ok i don't now. why do i feel funny know. help

3/26/3: Ok i havent made any updates in a while. Spring break is boring being here but im getting stuff done. Finished the dune trilogy finally. The first and third book were excellent. but the middle one was weak, though if you read the third you kind of have to have read the second. Started 'clan of the cave bear', which is really quite horrible, if not an easy read. The lady who wrote it had a tentative understanding of physical anthropology, and decided to bullshit the cultural side, which is the majority of the book. I'll probably finish it, but i definitly wont continue the series. OkBye

So did I tell whoever you are about the lady on the bus with the 6 inch finger nails, she was rad, more rad than the guy today with one leg a foot shorter than the other and a special shoe to deal with it. Spring break is in two weeks. Trying to write a song about forensic crime investigation to sing with Will.

3/8/3: Makin money in the computer lab, playing muds. Wishing Will or Lindsay would visit so i could get them to go get me lunch. I am covered with glitter because there was a glitter party last night. Don't know If ill do anything productive today, but ill probably go to the sickle tonight.

3/5/3: Spring is in the air, could love be far behind? The EHP dinner is tonight, the reminder I got in the mail said to come "munch some biscotti" with the EHP committie and fellow students. I hope they serve more than fucking biscotti, i hope they have pizza. What else, I am starting to think MUDs are fun again, (see the links page for an explanation) And band practice is tomorrow night finally. last night we tried to play risk at wills house and we didn't get very far, mainly because Jessie and i got a little too drunk. Something i like is not having class on wednesday. Oh yea and I had an idea to get a game of assassins going at RISD. Its a game where everyone playing uses nerf guns or similar foam projectile weapons and tries to eliminate the other teams. The thing is that the teams are random and you get the name of somebody on your team and on the other team to start with, then you try and find your teammates and compile a list of enemies, then you go out hunting. When we played at mizzou the only rules where you couldn't fight in class, and you couldn't break into someones house. The only bad thing is that if I start the game I would have to organize it and wouldn't be able to play. OK JPOUT.

3/1/3: I am soooo bored at work, there is 2 and a half hours left of this job. Anyway yesterday was cool because after class we went to building 19 and taco bell. And at building 19 i traded my old stinky sneakers in for this awesome new pair. I also stole a computer game. Lindsay stole a bunch of sunglasses, she always steals sunglasses. Wish i could wear them but I would have to get subscription ones which would be expensive.Anyway I'm just hanginout listening to music and surfin the web but not really finding anything cool. 2/24/03: Back to school Back to School. Hopefully i will get into this pottery elective and ill get to be crafty this semestre. Finished Dune, planning on picking up the sequel today. Whenever I read alot I start thinking like books are written, and I evaluate myself as a character. This kind of thing plagues me untill I can't sleep and it's 4;00 am.

2/22/03: Wow, the bus driver was DRUNK or something today. He didn't even stop the bus to let me on, he just slowed down and opened the door and yelled at me to run and jump. That was fun. Then he was making fun of this homely guy for asking a retarded question and he did a good Jerry's Kid's impression. Anyway i doubt he was drunk, just crazy, it made my day. Yea thats about it.

2/21/03: Wow, got some REAL good tapes at salvo today. Thought I found a radio transmitter there for 25$ but it ends up being an old CB transmitter, like antique. They also had a really small CB transmitter which is cool, maby Ill get that and convince other people to get them.. Oh and as I was looking at the kids toys for music things this little girl said "You look like somebody I saw in a book." And I asked her what book, but she didn't know. It was cute though. Oh and Dune is the best science fiction book I have ever read and I'm only 1/3rd of the way through it, can't wait to finish it and start on the next sequal(there are like 20 books total). Anyway break is fun.

2/20/03: Wow, its really nice out today, like in the 40's. I have a new job on saturdays as a computer monitor in the Prov Wash basement, IT's an 8 hour shift which is alot, but hopefully they have all the programs on those computers (macs) I know at least that they have the 3d modeling and animation software down there. Well Ok.

2/19/03: Wow, Lots of snow, no food, crocheting, read A Wrinkle in Time, The Man Who Fell to Earth, and started Tom Wolfe's Tangerine Streamline flaked Baby (or something like that) All in all break is good, I sleep alot, and now that I have a little bit of money I am going to spend it on wise groceries and eat alot. Trying to find out where the food bank is and what the deal with hours/application--when i figure it out i will post it so we all can eat gov'ment food for free. Also trying to get a monitor job for next semseter. Bybye

2/12/03: Thank god for stealing from the met, the RISD store,and the teachers lounge coffee machine. Also thank god for friends who feed me. AND thank god for the little old lady in the What cheer office who smokes 3 drags of Parliment 100's and then leaves them sticking straight up and not broken in the ash tray outside the studio. School is over in 2&1/2 days. Thank god for that too.

2/10/03: Sledding accident last night. Had to go to the emergency room and get 2 stitches for this deep hole in my knee. It was kinda exciting at first, then it got boring in the emergency room. There was alot of blood though. Ill post a pic of the wound after I get the picture from Jessie's computer. Also there is a Klezmer band festival later this month, which sounds like a blast.

2/9/03: I Cannot wait untill my two projects are done and I can actually waste some time without feeling like im wasting anything.

2/8/03: Uggg. I hate my living situation. Yesterday I was actually home for a day, and my roomate decided to revoke my coffee making privledges on his coffee maker, by moving it into his room, probably because I was opening beers in my room with his can-opener, denying him his customary can of pinapple chunks he ALWAYS eats every day. I want to get in a fight with him. Wish I had fencing gear so I could let off some steam. I thought the bikeride to school in the wet slush and snow would cool me off but it hasn't.

2/06/03: Ok so on the bus this morning this old lady and oldish guy got on, and he was asking her about her house, but they didn't know each other. I guess he had seen her before and saw her leaving her house. He was asking her how long she had lived in it and she was like "Since before you were born" and he said he was 46 years old, and she was like yea still before you were born. She was like ancient. And this guy was so hitting on this old lady on the packed 9:00 bus. No one else was talking and it was real uncomfortable for her, I could tell. any way when it was his stop he said he had to go, then he tried to kiss her on the lips from across the isle, she was turning her head to avoid him but he like slobbered all over her. She was 20 years older than him at least. And before he got off he yelled across the bus "you look real pretty". Then he left and everyone started laughing and making supporting comments to the lady who was like FLUSTERED about the whole thing. I love the bus. Man this was a long entry.

2/05/03: My keys are locked into my Photo Locker, ,and I can't get them out untill 9:30, I doubt my homework will be done in time for the Crit today. On the good side, I added one of those storybook sound strips to the one man jam last night. Its not mounted yet, it just hangs by wires, and the trim pot is almost impossible to turn, but at least it's ready for class.

2/04/03: Circuit bent a 'one man jam' last night, added two switches and a button, then one of the improvements broke so I'll have to readjust it tonight. Ill take a picture of it some time. Oh yeah and we have the last fencing class tonight.

2/02/03: All the computer labs are closed exept the illustration lab. The dorky monitors just watch movie trailors for horrible with the volume blasting, and the guy behind me is, I assume, trying to remix some horrible pop song on pro-tools.

1/31/03: First of all I stepped in dog poop last night right before i went into my apartment, but i didn't realize it untill this morning as I was leaving to catch the bus. It was real fresh and I did the unthinkable by putting on my coveralls after I had put my shoes on, so today when I took them off in class there was shit all down the inside of one of the legs. I also walked around in my room and the bathroom with the shit shoe, which sucks cause i go barefoot or wear socks alot in the house. But hey its not like I am there that often. Oh yea we had band practice again last night and the name of the band is not north america, its The Internet. But sometime soon I will put our stuff on the Net. And then the internet will be on the internet. Buh Bye.

1/30/03: First of all there is a hole in the big toe of my right sock and it is driving me crazy. Second of all the lectures in my photo class suck. Thirdly I want money and may or may not have been late sending rent. Current interest: Culture jamming and noise symphanies. Oh yea the name of my band is now North America. And we rock.

1/27/03: The guy next to me in the computer lab was printing pictures of bruises and wounds he had on different parts of his body. They werent very bad, but he had these creapy pics of cuts on his upper thighs while he was sitting on a bed. Maby he got attacked by a pack of wild dogs? Speaking of which I saw a pack of W-dogs while waiting for the bus. I hope they kill some children. Oh and I got a flat tire today which made me late for my crit. I need to make this column wider. -- JP
